Loganair launches new routes from Dundee Airport to Belfast and Birmingham

Loganair, in partnership with Flybe, has announced two new routes from Dundee Airport to Belfast City and Birmingham airports.

From the 21st of May 2008, three return weekday flights will be introduced between Dundee and Birmingham, with one return flight on Sunday. There will also be a daily return flight between Dundee and Belfast City Airport, with one return flight on Sunday.

The two new routes from Dundee see Loganair returning to the airport where it started its first scheduled air services 45 years ago. They mark the beginning of an expansion plan that will see Loganair introduce more new services from the airport in the coming years.

The Loganair flights will operate under the Flybe banner ahead of the franchise arrangement between the two companies which starts on the 25th of October.

"The new routes from Dundee are a taste of things to come," said Mike Rutter, Flybe Chief Commercial Officer. "With Flybe and Loganair working in partnership, Scottish passengers can look forward to increased services, great fares and new routes to destinations that support both business and leisure passengers."
